Billions of euros wasted on empty office space

Optimising the built environment is a huge opportunity. 40% of global energy (GHG) emissions are from built environment and 50% of raw materials. More than 1 billion tonnes of food are wasted every year due to inadequate supply forecasts.

Automated utilisation rate as a service

The number of persons in the area is calculated by subtracting the total number of persons leaving the area from the total number of persons entering the area. The utilisation rate is calculated as a percentage of the maximum capacity defined for the area. The utilisation rate takes into account the defined periods of days and times of day during which the number of persons in the premises is averaged, e.g. "weekdays 08:00 to 16:00". For the selected period, first the average of each hour is calculated and then the average of the hours over the period. We ensure the 24/7 automatic counting functionality with an accuracy of at least 98%.

  • The system does not collect personal data

With PeopleCounter, people are detected instantly inside the mobile device, eliminating the need to transfer or store data on servers for analysis. Video is not streamed, captured or stored. No biometric data is collected, stored or processed at any stage of the process. No photographs are stored or captured. The system only detects the human figure on the device, and only numerical data is collected. PeopleCounter is an automated people counting as a service that is 100% privacy-preserving, as no personal records are created. The automatic counting is done on a smartphone and the data transferred via mobile data is only numerical data, the number of people counted.
