Helsinki, Finland – 15 December 2025 – Supersight, a leading European edge AI company specialising in privacy-first AI computing platform using recycled smartphone sensors, today announced the appointment of Ms. Songeun Kim as Computer Vision Machine Learning Engineer. Ms. Kim will report to CTO Matteo Allaix and join Supersight’s growing R&D team focused on advancing efficient, real-world AI deployed on resource-constrained edge device platform.
Ms. Kim brings over five years of hands-on experience in computer vision and machine learning, with a strong focus on real-time vision systems, mobile and embedded AI, and model optimization for edge deployment. In her new role, she will work on developing and optimizing Supersight’s computer vision models, improving inference efficiency, and supporting scalable deployment on AI computing network of smart sensors.
“Edge AI performance, efficiency, and reliability are critical to our technology platform,” said Matteo Allaix, CTO of Supersight. “Songeun’s deep expertise in on-device inference, model compression, and cross-platform deployment makes her an excellent addition to our team. She strengthens our ability to push the limits of what sustainable, privacy-preserving AI can achieve at the edge.”
Prior to joining Supersight, Ms. Kim worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at 3i Inc in Seoul, where she developed and optimized object detection and tracking models for smart consumer devices, and built cross-platform C++ vision modules for Android and iOS on-device inference. Earlier, she conducted research at CRVL Lab, Kyungpook National University, focusing on compressed object detection models and fisheye image processing for embedded systems and autonomous driving research.
She holds an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering from Kyungpook National University.
“I’m excited to join Supersight at a time when edge AI, sustainability, and real-world impact are coming together,” said Songeun Kim. “The opportunity to work on efficient computer vision models deployed on recycled hardware aligns strongly with my technical background and values. I look forward to contributing to scalable, responsible AI systems that operate where data is generated.”
Her appointment further strengthens Supersight’s position as a pioneer in edge-based, privacy-first AI solutions serving retail, public sector, smart buildings, and industrial environments globally.
